While these methods are totally legit when it comes to effectiveness, well some more than others, there are also methods that are more cost-effective as they can serve you up to 20 years, depending on which products you use. We are of course talking about the Zinc armor strips that do require some skills to setup, but once you place it on the roof its guaranteed that you have made a decisive step towards eliminating mold, algae and other invasive factors on your roof.
This product is especially useful in areas where there is a lot of humidity and rain, and while the algae and moss require water to grow and multiply, the Zinc strips also function based on the amount of water that goes on them. Namely, if you place it on your roof the water that flows over them and down the roof gets enriched with the zinc and with its moss-destructive power it not only stops further multiplying of said problems but starts to remove them slowly if they are already present.
However, there is one downside towards using this fantastic product on all homes, and that is that it requires skill to set up. While you can always call a professional to set it up for you, you can also learn from the many videos and manuals how to do it but be advised that you can damage your roof while you are trying to place the Zinc strips if you don’t know what you are doing

Verdict
There are lots of products that can be used to clear dirt, grime, mold, algae and other issues on the roof, and we think this one is not going to be a product for everyone. However, we do recommend it as a product, but we also understand that many people would rather wash their roof instead of spending additional money on the installation. With all our testing this product has performed amazingly, and we saw instant results when it came to removing algae and mold. However, it does not remove all the dirt and potential problems your roof can have.
When it comes to deciding to recommend this product, the vote was unanimous, and everyone who was involved in the testing would recommend this product for anyone that is willing to invest in a professional to set it up. If on the other hand, you are not willing to do that there are always tons of other chemicals that you can use on your roof that will do an excellent job at removing your problems from the roof.
