If you got the small one, you could attach it to the end of the hose, and it will disperse the solution equally over your roof as you water it down. If you got the bigger ones, than you need to grab 1 gallon per 6-7 gallons of water and once mixed it should be sprayed on the roof and either rinsed down with a high-pressure machine, or you can just let mother nature take care of the dirt and grime, as this product works perfectly even if left alone.
We tried both methods, and to our surprise, both of them left us satisfied on several occasions.
Verdict
For everyone that is looking to take care of a big roof or several houses, depending on the job that you are working on, we highly recommend this product. When it comes to testing several products in a few months, we have tested a lot of them, and we can say that this product performed above our expectations, especially when it comes to the forgetting about it part. We sprayed and left it on the roof, and for the next two days, it did not rain.
However, once it did rain the dirt and grime was washed down the next day we checked. Furthermore, the algae and the mold turned brown the moment we poured the product on the roof and for the next two months while we were still checking we did not saw any reform on the roof. The product advertises that it should be re-applied within the next two years, and we think that can be a correct assessment as for the six months that we have tested it we saw no returning problems.
The product has no poisonous chemicals which place it pretty high on our wanted list. We especially like that it has no bleach, lye, acid, phosphates or heavy metals, as we all have pets and we don’t want them getting ill from our roof cleaning expeditions. The product has only one negative side, and that won’t be a negative for everyone – the price. When compared to some other products on the market it may be a bit more expansive, but believe us when we tell you, it’s worth every penny.
